Hey there!
Thanks for visiting my site, I hope you like what you see! I am a recent graduate from California Polytechnic State University with a major in Graphic Communication and a User Experience/User Interface concentration. I am an ambitious professional with an artistic eye and a love for incorporating creativity into everything from simple everyday activities to complex problem-solving. Through major courses and internships, I have practiced user-centric design and look forward to a career in user experience. My favorite aspect of my work and experiences so far include learning about different industries, unique design needs, and solving complex business problems.
Outside of my passion for design, I love to explore new places, play sports (especially soccer and basketball), and read in my free time. A book I just finished is The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (highly recommend!). At Cal Poly, I had the opportunity to explore new experiences on and off campus. I was an active member of the professional and social development club Mat Pica Pi. I was there for two years as Graphics and Marketing Chair and then Co-President. I joined the Center for Leadership the summer going into my third year as a peer leader eventually becoming Special Project Lead. In this role, I led a team in managing social media projects as well as coordinating with other organizations on campus to facilitate workshop sessions. During my senior year, I worked with another peer leader to create an entirely new curriculum for a series about emotional intelligence in leadership. Off-campus I spent my time at the beach (occasionally surfing), hiking, exploring downtown San Luis Obispo, and hanging out with the amazing people I met throughout my four years there.
I am passionate, friendly, and excited to enter the next chapter of my career. I am currently a freelance designer so please reach out to me if you have a creative project with a quick turnaround! You can contact me at mnstauber5@gmail.com. I look forward to possibly working with you!
